Annual Business Meeting Minutes
May 30, 2003
The annual SRMA Spring meeting was held on 30 May 2003 in the Lyceum inside the Center for Southwest Studies at Fort Lewis College, Durango, Colorado.
Leah Davis Witherow, SRMA President, called the meeting to order at 0905.
Meeting minutes: The 2002 spring meeting minutes were approved as written.
Newsletter Report: Ginny Kilander indicated that 16 June 2003 is the deadline for the next newsletter and encouraged submissions.
Membership Report: SRMA currently has 177 members.
Election Results: Steve Fisher reported the election results as follows:
Bridget Burke Vice President/President-elect
Donna McCrea Treasurer
Holly Giest Member-at-Large.
Steve Fisher concludes his position as Past President. Leah Davis Witherow steps aside as President and assumes the Past President role; Kevin Anderson becomes the new President.
Local Arrangements Chair: Todd Ellison, Fort Lewis College Archivist, welcomed conference participants to Durango and reported logistical details about an extracurricular tour to Mesa Verde.
Program Chair: Bridget Burke reported that about 80 people attended the 2002 autumn meeting in Denver and over 40 were represented in Durango for the 2003 spring meeting.
Meeting adjourned at 0925.
