The annual SRMA spring business meeting was held on June 2, 2006 at the Bessemer Historical Society in Pueblo, Colorado.

The spring 2005 meeting minutes from Castle Rock, CO were approved as written.
Treasurer’s Report
The treasurer’s report was approved as written.
Archives Month update
Jody Georgeson reported on Archives Month activities for the past two years which include a website with activities, proclamations, and posters. The Board appointed an Archives Month Coordinator, Leslie Shores. Contact Leslie to serve on the Archives Month committee.
Election Results for SRMA Board
Three uncontested positions were filled:
-- Vice President/President Elect: Patty Rettig
-- Member at Large: Gary Landeck
-- Secretary: Kacy Guill
Two non-voting Board positions were appointed:
-- Archives Month Coordinator: Leslie Shores
-- Newsletter Editor: Kenton Jaehnig
Board members and retiring Board members Monte Kniffen, Brent Wagner, Bridget Burke, Thia Rand, Patty Rettig, Jody Georgeson, Nancy Freeman, Allaina Howard, Diane Lunde, and Shaun Boyd were recognized for their work.
Membership Report
Shaun Boyd reported that the SRMA currently has 146 members including 24 new members and 14 student members. Members were also reminded to join the Yahoo group which is now the main method of communication for the society.
Debut of Preservation Kits
Diane Lunde reported on the updated preservation kits. Of the original three kits, one, the decidification kit was retired. The photo kit has been updated as is available to any group for borrowing. The environmental monitoring kit is currently being updated.
Membership Announcements
