Join the SRMA Governing Board 



The SRMA Governing Board has several open positions up for election this spring!  We’d love for you to join us! Please consider nominating yourself or a colleague. Nominations should be submitted using this form.  Questions should be directed to Jay Trask (Past President; Chair SRMA Nominating Committee) at jay.trask@unco.edu. He will follow up with all nominees and request short statements of interest for those who will run for elections. Please send nominations by the end of March!  SRMA will hold its annual election electronically in April, and the election results will be announced in the SRMA Business Meeting in May.  Board terms for new elected members begin in June after the conference.
A brief description of the open positions are below. To read complete position descriptions please see the SRMA Bylaws.

Vice President
The Vice President serves a three-year term: in their first year on the SRMA board as Vice President/President-Elect, in their second year as President, and in their third year as Past President.  As Vice President, they assist the President as needed, acts as a liaison to the Program Director and oversees all SRMA educational programs, and coordinates the documentation of board procedures.
 
Secretary
The Secretary serves for a term of two (2) years.  They shall record the official minutes of the proceedings of the membership and of the Board, and keep all current records such as, but not limited to, official minutes of the meetings, log of Board correspondence, official books and records not specifically assigned to other officers; submit the official minutes of previous business meetings at the SRMA annual business meeting; and serve as the archivist for the organization. 
 
Member-at-Large
The Member-at-Large serves as two year-term.  In their first year, they assist the Program Director and Vice President in developing annual meeting topics, workshops, and other duties as assigned by the President or Board.  In their second year, they become the Program Director and develop all aspects of membership meetings and the annual conference.
 
Continuing Education Coordinator
The Continuing Education Coordinator serves for a term of two (2) years. The position is responsible for developing, coordinating, and publicizing all professional development workshops or classes for members, outside of the annual conference.

Newsletter Editor
The Newsletter Editor prepares and publishes a digital quarterly newsletter.
 
Membership Coordinator
The Membership Coordinator is responsible for soliciting SRMA members and membership dues, maintaining and coordinating the membership dues payment renewal process, collecting dues, and maintaining membership roster.
